Advocacy and Outreach Lead Consultant for the Link/Union Station and LAUS Master Plan program for Metro. Responsible for facilitating meetings and outreach opportunities with key business leaders, community stakeholders and decision makers in the larger LINK/US impact regions in an effort to create support for this major transportation initiative. Subconsultant to HDR.

CIRCA  / LOS ANGELES, CA / $400M

MBE/WBE/Local Hire Participation and Monitoring, and Wage Compliance Lead for a large scale mixed-use development in downtown Los Angeles. Developed and secured regulatory approval of the participation plan and currently monitoring compliance with a CRA development agreement for the arena (Staples Center and the surrounding properties).

LOS ANGELES FOOTBALL CLUB – MLS STADIUM CONSTRUCTION  / LOS ANGELES, CA / $350M

MBE/WBE/Local Hire, Project Labor Agreement (PLA), Prevailing Wage Compliance and Community/Worker Outreach Lead representing the owner in the new MLS stadium construction at the existing Sports Arena. Key tasks include ombudsman role with the unions, coordinate and facilitate regional outreach efforts in concert with work source centers, outreach and solicitation to MBE/WBE/VBE sub-contractors, conduct job fairs, pre-qualification meetings and participate in bid packaging to ensure compliance with job creation goals. Coordinating with PCL.

METRO GOLD LINE FOOTHILL EXTENSION INTERMODAL PARK & RIDE FACILITIES  / LOS ANGELES, CA / $50M

MBE/WBE/Local Hire and Community Outreach Lead providing mitigation outreach and community notifications of construction status throughout the construction process. The design-build project comprises six new intermodal park and ride parking facilities that connect by a variety of modes to L.A. County’s newest rail line. Subconsultant to Webcor Builders.

Housing Projects

615 OCEAN TOWER  / LONG BEACH, CA

TA Group is an owner/developer in the entitlement of a  203  unit new construction  Type 1-A High Rise tower.  The project has committed 6% of its units to affordable housing.  The 21 story building will include units with incredible ocean and City vistas and parking both above and below grade with a fully automated parking system.  Residential common areas and amenities are provided in the ground level, levels 14 and 15 and at level 21. 

VA BUILDING 205 PRESERVATION / LOS ANGELES, CA

TA Group is an owner/developer providing entitlement support, and affordable housing financing expertise for the rehabilitation of a 56,000 square foot previously underutilized commercial building on the Westwood Veteran Administration Campus.  The project includes 68 units for previously unhoused Veterans and includes amenities such as a community kitchen, laundry room, reading room and activity room/counseling area.  Social Services for the tenants is being provided through a partnership with Step Up on 2nd, Inc.  Renovation activities included seismic upgrading, historic rehabilitation, considerable residential and architectural renovations and safety/ADA accessibility improvements.  

VA BUILDING 208 PRESERVATION / LOS ANGELES, CA

TA Group is an owner/developer providing entitlement support and affordable housing financing expertise for a 57,946 square foot previously underutilized commercial building within the Westwood Veteran Administration Campus. The project includes 54 units for previously unhoused Veterans and includes amenities such as a community kitchen, laundry room, reading room, and activity/counseling area.  Social Services for the tenants is being provided through a partnership with Step Up on 2nd, Inc.  Renovation activities included seismic upgrades, historic rehabilitation, safety improvements, considerable residential and architectural renovations and safety/ADA accessibility improvements.  This project is LEED Silver.

VA BUILDING 209 PRESERVATION / LOS ANGELES, CA

TA group is an owner/developer providing affordable housing financing expertise for a 54 unit affordable housing development on the Westwood Veterans Administration Campus.  The project originally opened in 2017, however considerable infrastructure and system upgrades were needed to enable residential uses rather than its history of commercial uses.  In 2022, updates of the infrastructure and systems such as the HVAC, water and wastewater, gas and other utility needs commenced.  Social Services for the tenants is being provided through a partnership with Step Up on 2nd, Inc.  Renovation activities included seismic upgrades, historic rehabilitation, safety improvements, considerable residential and architectural renovations, and safety/ADA accessibility improvements.  This project is LEED Gold.

WEST THIRD STREET APARTMENTS / LOS ANGELES, CA

The West Third Apartments project is the conversion of an existing two-story motel built in 1996. The rehabilitation work has resulted in a total of 137units comprised of 136 affordable units and one two-bedroom manager’s unit. The 136 units are reserved for Veterans recently experiencing homelessness. The project amenities include security gates and fencing, secured on-site parking and a community room, on-site management, a laundry facility, elevator service, and counseling offices.

WESTERN AVENUE APARTMENTS / LOS ANGELES, CA

Western Avenue Apartments, located at 5501 S. Western Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90062. The Western Avenue Apartments entailed the rehabilitation of an existing motel that comprised of two buildings of two stories each. One of the buildings was built in 1956 and the other in 1985. The Project has 32 efficiency units and one two-bedroom manager’s unit. The units are reserved for individuals recently experiencing homelessness. The project amenities include a community room, an open courtyard with landscaping, on-site parking, on-site management, and laundry facilities.

BROADWAY APARTMENTS / LOS ANGELES, CA

The Broadway Apartments, located at 301 W. 49th Street, Los Angeles, 90037. The Broadway Apartments development entails the rehabilitation of an existing motel that is comprised of one two-story building and an additional one-story building. The project amenities include a community room, laundry facilities, secured parking, onsite management, counseling offices, gated access, a communal kitchen a manager’s unit and a courtyard. The rehabilitation effort included green building technologies and materials and increased the overall energy efficiency of the building by 10%. The project provides housing units for individuals recently experiencing homelessness/chronic homelessness.

I STREET / SACRAMENTO, CA

TA Group is an owner/developer of 205 units of workforce and market rate housing in downtown Sacramento. The project has secured entitlements and is in design development. Construction start is expected in Summer, 2024.

J STREET  / SACRAMENTO, CA

TA Group is an owner/developer of 267 units of workforce and market rate housing in downtown Sacramento.  The project is in the process of securing entitlements.  Construction start is expected early 2025.

FAIRVIEW COURT / SOUTH PASADENA, CA

TA Group is an owner/developer of a 1.8 acre site in downtown South Pasadena known as Fairview Court.  The project will consist of new four-story building facing Mission Street, featuring 108 residential units in a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom floor plans and 22,000 square feet of commercial space. A total of 19 units would be set aside as affordable housing.  

FOX HILLS DRIVE / LOS ANGELES, CA

TA Group is an owner/developer in an 18 unit condo project located adjacent to Century City and Fox Studios in West Los Angeles.  The 27,000 square foot project is currently under construction and will include 16 market rate units and 2 affordable units over 2 levels of subterranean garage.  Construction completion is expected in February, 2025.
